Marine Mechanic Wanted

Full time position open immediately for an experienced marine mechanic at the fastest growing marine repair & storage center in Northeast PA.   Peak season is April 1st through Thanksgiving.  Work week is Monday – Saturday.  Starting pay range is $18-$22/hour base rate, with $10+ per hour bonuses available for billable hours.  Pay will be representative of skills and experience.  Eligible for 1-week paid vacation after 6 months of full-time employment.  A highly skilled, efficient marine mechanic has the potential to earn $40/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and service marine engine, steering and drive systems.

• Test, diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical problems on a variety of different boats.

• Provide solid, honest recommendations to customers regarding maintaining their watercraft to fit their goals and budgets.

• Prep boats for service in the spring, maintain as needed in summer and winterize in the fall.

• Job requires kneeling, bending, twisting and lifting heavy objects.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Marine mechanic experience required; certification preferred.

• Highly skilled & motivated.

• Must have integrity, a strong work ethic and a desire to meet customer’s needs.

• Must provide names and current contact information of 3 professional references.

• Must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and pass random, ongoing drug testing.
